FAQ

Why chose mobile pet grooming?

Stress free environment for you and your pet. One on one personalized attention and service. Limited exposure to fleas, illness and noise of other dogs. No waiting time. Always the same groomer available to talk to and to build relationship with you and your pet.

What can I expect when booking an appointment with Le Wag?

Our mission is to provide the highest standard of pet grooming in a relaxing and stress free environment. You can expect nothing less than 5 star service and experience from Le Wag Team. First time clients are given a tour of the mobile grooming van and a free consult on what best products and service will benefit your pet.

We will begin by asking detailed questions about your pet’s health, habits, grooming history and your expectations.

What areas does Le Wag service?

We currently serve London West End, Fulham, Putney, Richemond Park, Battersea and Clapham. We will be continuing to expand as our business grows so if we are not in your area currently, keep checking in with us.

Do you use our electricity or water?

We are self sufficient, we have the option to provide our own supply of energy or if possible we’d like to plug a cable to your electriciy but it is not mandatory.

All we leave behind is a clean happy pet.

Can I see the inside of your van?

Definitely yes! We are very proud of our mobile grooming van and are happy to give you a tour when you arrive for your appointment. We just ask for privacy while we are grooming your pet.

Can we stay with you while my dog gets groomed?

We would prefer not. Pets can sometimes become distressed during the grooming process when they see their parents and it can make it difficult to safely complete their grooming treatments.

Do you groom cats?

We do yes. Despite cats being self grooming creatures, sometimes even the perfect cat can drop the ball from time to time. We provide full service bathing, grooming, nail trimming, and ear cleaning- in a peaceful, quiet, clean and canine free environment (no dogs will ever be around when kitties groomed).

How often should my pet be groomed?

Although it depends on the coat type, length and lifestyle of each pet, most pets should be groomed between 4 to 6 weeks.

Do you charge extra for matted pets?

Although our services include almost everything, we do charge extra for dematting and/or shaving a matted coat, the price is £30.00 per extra hour of work. We will never tack on extra fees without discussing it you first or initially at the consultation.

What is your cancelation policy?

In the unlikely event that you do not cancel your appointment 24 hours prior to your appointment a £20.00 fee will be charged to your account.

Grooming salons keep my pet sometimes all day, how long does mobile grooming take?

Grooming salons take in a high volume of animals every day. Your animal is often in a cage surrounded by screaming and barking pets all day while they wait for service. Mobile grooming is a one-to-one service. On average animals take 1-2 hours to groom. For added convenience we can also make arrangements to groom your pet while you are away so you can come home to a fresh clean pet!

How old does an animal have to be to have their first spa day?

An early start on a grooming regimen is helping the groomer and your best friend start off on the right paw. Grooming is something your pet will need monthly for the rest of their lives so sooner the better! We recommend starting after 8 to 12 weeks of age, after appropriate shots have been administered and puppy is weaned and healthy.

Do you provide handstripping services?

Yes we do! All of our groomers are experienced in maintaining proper coat in your terrier breeds. Prices start at £75.00 for small dogs. Please contact our team if you would like additional information.

Do I have to be at home for you to groom my pet?

No, it is not necessary for you to be home while we groom your pet. For the first visit we would strongly advise you to meet the team and discuss your pet’s history and expectations face to face, this will also allow your pet to get introduced to our team and get comfortable. After that, we will be there for a very short time to pick up your dog and drop it off when finished.

Is there an additional fee for fleas?

Yes, there is an extra charge of £25.00 for flea removal. This is to cover the cost of disinfecting the entire van, the special flea shampoo and the additional time required.
